heard from an insider at bloomberg some very exciting news. im not confirming this at all! but theres word going around that pretty soon the ip holders are gearing up for relaunching Furby as a "large language labobo" and also it can now vomit
@jk i'm assuming this is a joke, given it was just relaunched this year (last year?) https://www.furby.com

@GroupNebula563 @jk They sure did! Here in Norway they are a whopping 1500 NOK (which is around $150 USD)

I just had to look up what the original #Furby retailed at: $35

Crazy inflation.

@GroupNebula563 @jk And misspelling Labubu is a joke, too? Or have I missed some play on words?

@katzentratschen @GroupNebula563 @jk

Relax, it is just a joke. Words can be funny. Unless I am mistaken and there is a deep layer that makes it even funnier.

@VileOx @katzentratschen @jk I don’t think anyone was angry, I think they were just curious /nm

@GroupNebula563 @katzentratschen @jk
Oh, it is not anger, I agree. It is incessant search for the Deep Meaning, even in Humor (or maybe especially Deep Meaning in Humor). I remember trying to find it (and I am dead serious and literal, it is not a joke or a metaphor) in a "I can has cheeseburger" meme. I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to locate the origin of the reference.

Advice I give others is more often that not is directed at myself. I also wanted to know why labubu is misspelled. But I realize it is probably just funny.

@jk "and also it can now vomit" -- I want one!
