512 years ago today. The Battle of Flodden ended in catastrophic defeat for Scotland on 9 September 1513. Almost an entire generation of Scottish nobility was lost, including King James IV, at a battle that need never have happened. @UndisScot Our former house in Town Yetholm was the infirmary where injured fighters from Flodden were taken. And of course there was a ghost, though only the cat could see it.
