I had never heard of LBA2, I like the unique art style.
Looks like a remake is coming soon...

Twinsen’s journey takes him to Zeelich, a bizarre planet ruled by a pompous emperor with grandiose ambitions. Master magic, outwit eccentric foes, and navigate a world where danger meets the absurd. Unravel a cosmic conspiracy in this whimsical, action-packed adventure!
Actually it seems to have been released already, on GOG:
Twinsen is back in this remake featuring a new stylish makeover and modernized gameplay. Faithful to the original game, Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest takes you on an epic journey on a small planet harboring both magic and technology.

The latter had an awesome fan made 3D remake called Chrono Resurrection and then Square sent a C&D and shut it down.
FF6 would be amazing as a 3D remake as long as they didn’t try to do the “let’s divide it into 3 games and change things up!” Like they did with 7.
Don’t have many games for me in that. Would love a Fallout 2 remaster, something that improves the visuals, and adds some QoL improvements, but keeps the game the way it is.
Was happy with Diablo 2 remake, but I haven’t actually played it yet, so not sure how faithful it is.
Would love Black & White, or Settlers 2 remaster. They made a new Settlers game, but it didn’t get great reviews, from what I recall.

3 was great. 4 was meh.
I was talking about the recent reboot, The Settlers: New Allies
Don’t recall if I played 3 and 4 or not.

It’s a 2023 reboot of the series.
Hogs of War - it’s something like Worms in 3D, but from all the way back in 1998. The PS1 game works fine, but the PC release was bugged with enemy AI not moving at all.
Team Buddies - really fun action game on the PS1, could shine with 4v4 multiplayer on the internet
Jazz Jackrabbit - Bigger resolution at least, with more of the level being visible at any time. Modern controller support would also be awesome.
Wing Commander series.
Crimson Skies. How the fuck have we not had another Crimson Skies? We went through the whole pirate fad and with the current political situation of the USA…
I think the problem is it’s a flight simulator, and those died as “video games.” Nobody has a Sidewinder or Wingman joystick on their computer desks anymore, and they’re not tremendously fun to play with a controller and exceptionally unfun with keyboard and mouse.
Flight sims are still around but they’re way up in the enthusiast space adjacent to racing sims.
essentially become abandonware
Eh, that term is for games that you can’t get anywhere, like No One Lives Forever, Mechwarrior 4 or Battle for Middle Earth 1/2. Arcanum has been on GOG and Steam for ages now
Final Fantasy VII. Fans have made beautiful new models with better textures on Nexus, and it makes me wish Square Enix had bothered to do more than just up-res the graphics and backgrounds before calling it a day. That’s the only remake I ever wanted.
