I’m proud of my school, the University of Delaware.

I love how my school just gives the proverbial middle finger to Trump when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Go #UD. Go #BlueHens.

@housepanther religious freedom is a right?

what about freedom FROM religion?

why does a university feel the need to advertise its stance on organised dogma at all?

@crumbletiltskin @housepanther
I read it as freedom to choose and practice any religion, or no religion.
@crumbletiltskin @housepanther and as for why it makes these statements, it seems to me because if people are silent as oppression grows, then it grows stronger. This isn't meant to go after any person's core belief, but to defend the rights and freedoms many have fought and died for. This is a beautiful and American message worth supporting. Anyone denying these messages, it seems to me, should really ask themselves why.
@crumbletiltskin @housepanther Considering the rest of the banner, it sure does sound like it includes this too.
@crumbletiltskin This right is also enshrined in the US Constitution I would say. First Amendment (1791): "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion."
or the Free Exercise Clause: "... or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ..."
@housepanther On the other hand, there is a lot to talk about taxes Heaven (even internationally) and Delaware
