Jon PENNYCOOKToday's village fete, one of the last of the year (it's not Summer any more!) had egg throwing (and catching!) as the highlight. I missed out on the beer tent but made two trips to the BBQ stand and bought 6 jars of jam/chutney (mostly from a someone within walking distance of my house!).
