"Uh, do I really need to install this app to order food?"

"Yes. And also we'll need access to your contacts, location 24/7, your photos, microphone, and possibly your soul."

"…I just wanted a pizza."

"Cool. In exchange, here’s 6 push notifications a day, and targeted ads for gym memberships (because you're eating too much pizza)."

Let's look at App Tracking, why it's bad & how you can turn it off 👉 https://tuta.com/blog/app-tracking

@Tutanota

This is hilarious to me because I'll stop using a web site if its TOS are too weird or if its cookies are pushed too hard. I don't tolerate shitty practices because I simply don't have to. It's a big web, you're probably not unique.

Businesses, if your shit isn't frictionless, I'm not going to buy a damn thing from you.

Install an app to pay you? Fuck off, lol.

@troy_frizzell @Tutanota Have adopted the same principle for EV charge points. Need me to install an app? There's another charge point not far from here. Like mushrooms in the rain, here in Finland...
@martinvermeer @troy_frizzell Terrible! Speaking of EV charge points, another topic is cars and how they collect and track our data. 😒
