Does bird speech/language have vowels?

I wanna think so. Because we do include them when spelling out the calls/songs..

Mainly made me curious what their version of a vowel chart would look like. Would it be a different shape / have different positions/spots? More or less symbols? Their syrinx could lead to some crazy stuff too?

  • And yes, birds have complex word building and grammar simply because most of the time their voicebox and means of communication severely limit the frequency ranges and options they have and their surroundings usually impede communications that ain't resistant to multipath distortions and fading.
