One of my favorite things every WWDC, back in the day, was checking to see what, if any, new language features we got in ObjC. Even so, that was a rare occurrence, and you could probably count the major language shifts on one hand

Today, I love being on a language, Swift, that gets new goodies to play with every single year, even if 90% of them don't apply to me. It took a while for Swift to get to a place where I was happy to move to it, but I would never look back now

What's new in Swift 6.2?

Raw identifiers, backtraces, task naming, and more.

@stroughtonsmith man I remember being so hyped hearing stuff like "we made objc_msgSend 50x faster!!" at SOTU
@b3ll @stroughtonsmith were you ever limited by objc_msgSend performance?
@odnoletkov @b3ll the entire OS was. It was like iOS 12 or something when everything got faster on existing devices. Glorious
