This collaborative video–sound work juxtaposes satellite imagery of groundwater pivot irrigation in the American Southwest with shimmering water surfaces. The circles, each powered by pumps drawing 1,000–2,000 gallons per minute from an unreplenishable aquifer, visualize the immense and unsustainable extraction that fuels industrial agriculture.
