“Faust” (1994) is loosely based on on plays “Faust” by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (Available Here: https://archive.org/details/faustgoethe00goetiala/page/n3/mode/2up) and “The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus” by Christopher Marlowe (Availble here: https://archive.org/details/tragicalhistoryo00marl_0), which are based on the German legend.

This performance originally ran at the American Ballet Theatre in NYC and was a collaboration between American dancer, choreographer, and author Twyla Tharp and Latvian-American dancer, choreographer, and actor Mikhail Baryshnikov. Our final art installation is “Gravity”. This site specific kinetic light projection is by French artist and musician Yann Nguema ((https://youtu.be/e-qVhGEmIbE?si=zfihfzzMa6ogjZFm) and it utilizes the combination of light projections, intricate computer programming, music (composed by Nguema) and the space of Colmar, France’s 14th century, Gothic-style church Église Saint-Martin.
