CDC has scaled back food monitoring to just 2 food borne pathogens, cutting out others like listeria (common in raw milk), shigella, campylobacter, vibrio and yersinia. Many of these can cause life threatening disease.

Why?

"funding has not kept pace," which, I guess, is a euphemism for their budget being slashed and employees being axed by Trump and DOGE.

No wonder they're all quitting.

AND scores have been sickened in the past few months from salmonella in their Eggs.
