Let us begin by my saying that in my estimation Microsoft Corporation is a distillation of pure, if not always competently executed, wickedness. Microsoft has distributed evil since it expanded beyond BASIC programming language interpreters (which may or may not have been evil) in 1980. It is continuing its assault with perhaps its boldest attack on its customers ever.

@trbutler Recently retired from IT management. Windows 10 protects user privacy when properly configured. Windows 11 sends 10x more user data. The coming version of Word will store documents in their cloud by default. Users won’t understand where their docs are and MS will have control.

I migrated to Linux over the last few years and unplugged my last Windows PC last week. I’m not fond of any commercial systems as their bottom line is more important than my privacy.
