#Wanderung entlang der #Suonen in #Gampel bei brütender Sommerhitze im #Wallis. Die Suonen sind alte Bewässerungskanäle für die trockenen Hänge, welche zum Teil restauriert wurden.

I presume these aqueducts are not carrying water for human consumption! 😉

No, they are for watering the fields. He loves walking in the water.

@minino Our huskies love walking in water too, though it's usually culverts along roads. There aren't many open aqueducts here in Minnesota!

Its a historical thing in Switzerland. They are used in the history, then replaced with plastic tubes. And in the last years they restore them as a touristic attraction but also use to watering fields.
