"I am a prompt engineer and do vibe coding".

Oh, so you're in Slop Ops.

@jrconlin I will steal this. Sorry I will trian myself on this dataset.

@lfzz

FWIW: Sloperations is also acceptable.

@jrconlin

Somebody coined "slop jockey" the other day; it is my favorite.

Nothing about this kind of work deserves the title "ops"

@trochee

Heh, I have absolutely nothing but praise to offer anyone who works in proper Operations.

But yeah, they're not developers. They're literally operating an LLM to generate slop, so...

@jrconlin I feel you. But even "vibe coding" is stolen glory IMO — "coding" implies structuring your thoughts into an organized form that can be interpreted and operated by computer systems
@jrconlin oh man I am stealing Slop Ops!
@jrconlin just call it slops? They don't deserve the ops moniker.

@rycuda

Oh, they absolutely don't deserve the Ops moniker.
They also don't deserve the developer moniker.
They're more in the same category you'd put a monkey when calling it a "hammer operator".

I'm fine calling it "sloperations" as well.
