Dug out another hibernating project. This blanket was started during the first COVID lockdown, May 2020.

Then I "forgot" about it for a long time. Over the last few days I added another 25 squares so I'm now about 1/3 done

The yarn is all leftovers from sock yarn, mostly from actual sock knitting. And there's probably enough to finish it if I don't get bored again ...

What I'm not looking forward to: weaving in ends

That's fantastic, I love that it's from leftovers 😁
I'm currently working on something similar.
I know what you mean about weaving ends in, I try to think of it as a mindful part of the process,
Thanks for sharing ☺️

@DoubleTreble

The bag of leftover sock yarn was overflowing, I needed to find something to do with it.

I'm not sure yet, what to do to finish it - maybe one or two rounds of black all around the edge.

But I really like how it looks so far. And there quite a few memories in there.

I weave in most of the end while crotcheting.

With "normal" crochet that's what I do as well - but with Granny Squares I don't really now where to weave without the woven in ends showing up in the gaps. πŸ€”
