This is impressive: a fully responsive website template system based on Star Trekโ€™s LCARS operating system, built with only HTML & CSS โ€“ no images. Made by Jim Robertus, based on the original designs by Michael Okuda.

@nicksherman someone is actively maintaining an lcars theme for homesassistant and I couldn't be more thankful

@NafiTheBear Oh?! <ears perk up>
LCARS for HomeAssistant?!

Want! ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿค“

@montef there you go: https://github.com/th3jesta/ha-lcars

it needs HACS, but that was rather easy to install.

@NafiTheBear Awesome! Thanks for the link.

Have you got this running on a Home Assistant instance? If so, what are your impressions of it?

@montef I use it at bear minimum, so just the basic theming. I haven't added the custom headers for sections, yet.

but it is clean. it doesn't destroy any UI elements optically, which is the most important thing for me.

@NafiTheBear Nice!
I need to clone our Home Assistant instance to another machine, and tinker with this.

As much work as my husband has put into our production HA instance; Iโ€™m pretty sure he would divorce me if I screwed it up trying to install this. ๐Ÿซฃ

I am not good with the โ€œbespoke YAML configuration files.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿฅบ

@montef totally understable I would divorce my man too if he would do such a deep change in out HA setup.
