And the more this abysmal "idea" is left to fester, the worse it gets: they now believe so much in magic fairy dust ("AI") that they now want to feed all our communication to "an AI" (some kind of oracle run by some "AI" corporation) that will, in their imagination, somehow be magically reliable.

@quincy The only reason those people have such a phallocentric love for AI and LLMs is to further receive the most inner thoughts of humans so that they can further commodify, control, and manipulate them. LLMs are the perfect surveillance tool—one can use them psychologically to make folks believe they help, while all the data goes to the Stasi. eventually, some of these struggles tend to become "told you so"s, but why oh why can't most people see the dangers? often the intentions or potentials for abuse are quite clearly telegraphed ...
@quincy How should they, if they get bombarded daily with thousands of different information bombs? Everyone gets a daily dose and is spammed with all sorts of different information. Their capacity may cause a cognitive buffer overflow, I’d say. Or maybe people just walk around on autopilot — who knows. Distraction is a weapon of mass destruction
