This is not new.

The GOP only controls the house because partisans overrode earlier post-census maps in 2022 and 2024 for FL and NY to create more favorable districts for Republicans. Even earlier gerrymanding in OH and WI.

Happy to help.

It's certainly true that they are actively, aggressively destroying what's left of democracy. They were more cautious and slow in the past, but have been on this course for decades.

For example, John Roberts was appointed to the SCOTUS 20 years ago, after undermining the Voting Rights Act (under Reagan). He never stopped and has now dismantled it entirely.
