in a company AI presentation. "You should think of AI as an intern."

Later: AI hallucinates, introduces biases, lacks experience on what we cover, presents false information and must be constantly reviewed and thus can't work independently

Would we hire someone like this?

"Ai can help you with research."

You mean the thing that you just said invents false information and has to be fact-checked constantly?

the presenter also seems to think it's possible to have an evolving working relationship with an AI, which I don't think is so at all. They're not going to learn or get any better at what they do over time.

I'm so, so serious. How can this thing ever be useful if we can't trust its output?

You just said it will lie to you confidently rather than say it doesn't know something. What use is that

if I have someone I work with who makes up quotes, fudges numbers, talks about things that never happened as though they did and does all that with no special knowledge of what we're supposed to be covering, I promise you that is going to take more time for me to correct than it would have been for me to go out myself and do it right the first time.
here's something fun. What if an AI misquotes someone or gets something seriously wrong and someone wants to sue us over it. Do we blame the AI? Or is that my ass?

A list of the problems AI has from the presentation:

Hallucinations,
Lack of true understanding,
Inconsistent quality
No original reporting or insights
Generic voice
Plagiarism risk
IP uncertainty
Bias and stereotyping
Transparency about the use of AI

Again, imagine a human worker with these traits. You wouldn't hire them for free. You couldn't pay me to work with this person.

Even just the plagiarism one is a dealbreaker, and exposes us to lawsuits
