If you are in Sydney Australia and want to have an experience like no other, go see the Mu Mesons:
"A FISTFUL OF MU MESONS" Difficult times demand furious dancing. Sept Wed 24 The VANGUARD (Newtown) Supporting "KING MISSILE" & ANDY BURNS. The Mu Mesons, no wave, industrial, noise, electronics darkest wave Art Brut anti-band are back. Well, in way you might find hard to imagine. They first appeared in Sydney's venues during the mid 1980s. Inspired by the thriving experimental scene in Australia (S.P.K, Severed Heads, Scraping Foetus...). As students of naive art, folk art, Art Brut, they noticed a lack of understanding & support for those on the spectrum with musical ability, so the core members created a safe environment for outsider artists to create (explode is more like it). Now, today, considering the state of the world, three of its original band members return to the stage to cast a musical grimoire hoping to fracture this relentless plague of attention farming, if only for one night. One of their last performances was at City Live supporting Mike Patton's "Fantomas" two decades ago. One show only at this stage, they are so old that anything could happen! Expect the unexpected. Loved by Japanese band "The Boredoms' & hated by music critics. This return could honestly go either way, casting the spell we all need or death on the stage in its numerous manifestations. Honestly, no matter what, it should be entertaining. Thanks to RoadRunner Tours & Andy Burns.
