Ms. Que BanhI have a phone appointment with Mom's nephrologist just before noon. Hoping he can provide me with more info on what's happening with Mom's kidneys.
Next appointment is with her hepatologist. We are going over last biopsy, ultrasound & blood test results. I will know more after that.
Not great results from last few diagnostics for #hepatologist. He's putting her on a new medication to treat what he suspects is early signs of #LiverDisease. He believes she's suffering from primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) - diagnosed almost exclusively in women over age 50. We are getting the new meds tomorrow morning - it takes a couple of months for it to work. Blood work will be done every 3 months & another ultrasound booking was submitted.
Mom's health started to decline almost immediately after Dad passed away. The #SaanichPolice traumas alone were really awful for her well-being. Then losing Dad, just hours after unmasked cops invaded our home without due cause, after decades of marriage & surviving so much horrors together, Mom was a mess. I will never forgive nor forget #Saanich for what they did to my family.
