He did a good job in Uncut Gems too.
I liked him a lot in “Spanglish” and “Reign Over Me.”
AkasazhWhilst his acting is superb in that, I couldn’t finish the movie because it made me feel viscerally uncomfortably. It’s like a comedy character that has all comedy drained out, just a painful cringy cramp that won’t go away.
Still props for the acting job.

This and Stranger than Fiction are my two go-to “dislike the actor except for in _____” movies. Tends to be comedians stepping out of their narrow role to do something serious and experimental.
Also you can’t lose with Jon Brion composing.
