sWhat about words that everybody pronounces wrong, such as “nougat”? No, it’s not “new-git”, it’s “new-gah”. I even heard “nugget” from somebody not long ago.
In French, sure. But unless you also talk about the national budzhay, you get that loan words can have different pronunciations.
