My fellow Americans, have you moved out of the US due to the rising fascism and or are you actively in the process of doing so, and are you LGBTQIA+?

@Njord not american but would have been gone a decade ago if I could :|
@sinvega You're in the UK, as I recall, which seems to also be speedrunning fascism and collapse, sadly
@Njord yeah that's what I meant. Although I dunno, this has been coming since the 80s really
@sinvega That makes sense. From what I know, Thatcher was pretty much equivalent to Reagan
@Njord I'm trans and staying in the US because I need to get bottom surgery :/
@Njord american, not lgbt, I would leave if I had the funds and opportunity
@Njord other: LGBT+, would move but unable to.
@Njord moving is a longterm goal that i do not know how to accomplish
@chaoddity https://transworldexpress.org/wiki/Main_Page has some decent information, if you haven't' taken a look yet

@Njord If I were still young and healthy, I would seriously consider leaving the USA. But I'm in my late 60s, retired on Social Security, living with chronic pain issues, in one of the more sturdily blue and queer-affirming states, in which I scored a spot in an affordable housing co-op. So since my age, health, and finances make it highly unlikely that another nation would take me as an emigre, I guess I'm staying and fighting the fash to the best of my admittedly limited ability in one of the less risky places to do so.
@Njord trans & staying. I don't have much of a choice, as both my partner and I have jobs that are highly geographically tied due to licensure and structural constraints on our fields. Add in the kids, and relocating would be very, very difficult.
