Something I experience with tattoos is that they feel like an addiction. For example, when I smell medical soap, I want another one.

It’s been many years since I got new ink. Doing my fingers yesterday REALLY made me want my others. Like now. I want my neck and my hands done as soon as possible. I was patient until I got my new ink.

Anyone else with tattoos feel that strong urge for more?

@markwyner absolutely yes, they are so addictive!
@markwyner I’ve been weighing adding a bit of foliage to my existing one. (I have a pretty large raven) OR adding a whole other tattoo. Feels like a threshold I’d be crossing I admit that could escalate lol
@amcvittie a raven! I’m a huge fan of crows. Not the same, but close. Anyway, that sounds like a good evolution. If you have enough room around the bird, you could do some cool stuff.

@markwyner

You must be like my husband, he has a very high tolerance for pain.

@SnowyCA I’m actually a big teddy bear. But tattoos are sort of spiritual. It’s a different kind of pain.

@markwyner

I hear that. Understandable. 🙂

I like seeing tattoos on others, but a tattoo artist would toss me out the door in a minute, paper cuts bring on sweary words.😁
