I'm wondering why on Earth kitchen scales end up always using CR2032 rather than, I don't know, CR2450?
I get it, everyone is saying that the ubiquitousness of this model is their strong sell.

But hear me out, what if we're buying them in bulk (yes, so do I), *because* they don't last as much as a more appropriate alternative that's less popular?
@theflameeyes I wonder how much of this "doesn't last long" is due to a permanent drain because the scales only need a bump or a touch to start operation.

@vbabka @theflameeyes it *shouldn't* be the case, because I'm using one of those scales that need you to explicitly press a button to turn on.

But I can believe the MCU is not left in the lowest power state throughout this.
