Financing alone will not take us to the aspirations of the Lusaka Agenda, for “country-owned, investment-oriented, sustainable health systems”. Thanks to President Mahama for convening Africa Health Sovereignty Summit to chart a new course for health financing and governance in Africa.
I'm pleased for the opportunity to meet with the President and discuss #Ghana’s commitment towards primary health care and universal health coverage, & to tackle noncommunicable diseases. We welcome the increase in taxes to invest in the health system. I assured the President of @who.int's support.
