The soviet invasion of Afghanistan lead to that boycott; arguably, the nazi coup that’s been staged in the US is certainly no smaller affair.

The EU, UK and Canada should withdraw from the Olympics over Trump's tariffs and military threats (Canada, Greenland, etc) and hold their own.
Maddad ☑️The Olympics, Fifa and most sports in general are just another cash grab for the rich. I haven't supported sports in any form since the 90's and don't miss it at all. There is so much wrong happening to people in the world, we should put our money towards helping those in need.
