Yesterday, I noticed my Joplin backups were happening and getting to my Synology NAS, but they did not contain my most recent changes.

After some digging I realized that I 🔫 myself in my 🦶 recently when I "fixed" the WebDav setup on my cloud server that all the clients sync too when I was focused on getting my iPad Joplin sync working again.

I forgot to tweak the connection settings on the Raspberry Pi Joplin Terminal app so its pre-backup sync was failing.

I have logging of the backup process but this is the motivation I need to get notifications for errors set up.

Any recommendations for this?

@abosio I may be misunderstanding what you want but I really like https://healthchecks.io. Ping it via curl to signal success or failure and it will notify you. It’ll also notify you if the ping hasn’t happened for a period (eg 24 hours). Free for personal scale use cases. Good UX.
