#philosophy The problem with life is that you never know when it's going to change. A random moment, a chance encounter can change everything. Are our lives shaped by coincidences, or are they shaped by other forces?

@Logosbizde, it's an interesting question. One of the major questions about life is purpose, not career purpose but the general purpose of life itself and whose purpose is it???!!!

The biggest purpose clearly seems to be LIFE ITSELF. All life is driven to procreate, keeping life itself alive. Life appears to be flexible as to what is happening inside it but, to some extent, rigid when it comes to producing more of itself.

To me, we are nature itself.

@Logosbizde We have a problem that is sharper and more compact than this unknown. For there are visible, objective, organized, and systematic structures that change, direct, and even materially impose our way of life.

@Logosbizde

Both coincidence and culture shape our lives. Judging by our need, like all species, to have a healthy environment in which to live, and by our species ability to shape the environment, we are designed for the purpose of shaping a healthful environment. We have all but lost connection to that purpose though as a result of living in a culture shaped by capitalist extremes.

@unruly @Logosbizde Your thoughts on Doughnut Economics?

@mistergibson @Logosbizde

Makes sense to me. What does not make sense is continuing down a path of harm and destruction.
