took me about 45 minutes to upgrade from ghost 5.126.0 -> ghost 6.0.0 with a dist-upgrade thrown in for good measure. ezpz
haven't migrated to docker yet, though i probably will soon. i don't want the analytics, but it looks like i'll want it for self-hosting activitypub

shom@molly0xfff I never had analytics on my tiny sites but I turned on server side analytics (anonymous, no IP logging - caddy+umami) just to keep track of scraping bot activity. It's especially tricky with ActivityPub but since I run GoToSocial and only my public posts can be scraped from a HTTP end point it's just knowing for now instead of actioning (but it'll probably need to come soon, organic bandwidth is a tiny fraction of total usage).

@molly0xfff Ah, if you have a way to rollback and are confident it won't be a problem, living on the bleeding edge gets a lot less scary and more exciting!

Matt H@molly0xfff i rsynced my current instance that i run in docker over to a separate one so i can test. i had the activitypub portion running in a separate container which i still need to do more to understand how its all working together.

I'm able to do admin stuff on one browser tab that was logged in at the time, but can't seem to get to the Admin panel in another browser app (my daily driver) ...
I'll figure it out when I've got more time to dedicate to it...
