@juxtaposedichotomy Thanks! When I'm doing these, I'm usually more focused on some immediate idea, like specific themes that interest me—strange places, unusual creatures, faces, etc. I'm definitely aware that some of the larger issues in my life filter into the final works, though.

I don't go over previous work often, partly for that reason, but it is interesting sometimes to review the full collection. There's a lot that comes into focus from a thousand feet up, figuratively speaking.
