There are probably three music artists that I always had time for but that go right against the my usual (appalling?) musical taste choices. They are Tom Waits, Randy Newman and Harry Nilsson. I can't really explain why. There are my outliers #music #MusicChoices #DunnoWhy

@emsquared Tom Waits is someone I always mean to listen to more of, amongst many others like Zappa say.

Only thing of his I know well and have played a lot and I’m not even sure how I came across it.

@bobthomson70 There are always such artists. The first time i saw Tom Wait was on this chaotic channel 4 80s late night music and pretentious discussion show (Loose talk?) & a disheveled Waits was told off for mumbling by the interviewer, a then unknown and very young Ian Hislop.
