The GitHub reaction button's icon is off-center by one pixel. You're welcome.
@kramo Thank god I use Codeberg now
@kramo some people just wake up and choose violence 😭
@kramo literally unuseable, moving all my repositories to codeberg because of this
@kramo
That space intentionally left blank

@kramo You don't even understand how many will hate you and how much they'll hate you

You don't understand the eldritch horrors that you unleashed with this post

@kramo Would never happen on @Codeberg.

…right guys?

@Natanox @kramo

We would at least value such reports on Matrix, Mastodon or the issue tracker and it will be fixed.

The #Forgejo UI team chatroom is very active and noticing weird bugs in our UI, most of them get a fix soon after.

@Codeberg @Natanox Oh, there’s a chatroom for UI? I was considering contributing but didn’t want to commit too much. Nice stuff, I’ll definitely join
@kramo Or... You can consider it's a Kenny (from South Park) button, and he's not a 100% facing us 😎
Feeling better now
@Jess_R @kramo This actually helps! 😄👏👏
This is what you get when you misuse technologies. The ability to load arbitrary fonts on websites is stupid enough as is (and opens up an enormous attack surface), but these so-called "icon fonts" are yet another enormous level of stupidity on top of that.
@kramo Obligatory link to this brilliant blog post by @nikitonsky: https://tonsky.me/blog/centering/
Hardest Problem in Computer Science: Centering Things

Somehow we forgot how to center rectangles and must find our way back

tonsky.me

@kramo you posted that and a few days later the CEO resigned.

The causation is obvious!

@kramo don't worry, they misaligned the text for "Follow" and "Support" profile buttons when both were present too...
@kramo only one ?????? Looks like more than one.
@kramo @masukomi Well they can probably fix that now that GitHub is in the MS AI team *ducks*
@kramo
Is that only one pixel? I didn't know pixels could be that big.
@kramo Looks like one of those pills...
@kramo  i think it can depend on your display and zoom level whether it looks centered or not
@freeplay @kramo could also be a renderer bug; it looks fine in firefox
@alexia @kramo for me in Firefox i can get it to look off center at certain zoom levels
@freeplay See, I thought that but it looked like this at every zoom level. I looked at it again yesterday and it looked fine at every level, in the same browser, so I thought it was fixed.
@freeplay Actually, I remember even looking at the source SVG initially and it itself was what was off-center and now it isn’t. So I’m almost certain it’s changed unless something very weird is going on and any bugs now are something else… probably.

@kramo Imperfection is what makes us human

That said, I can't unsee that reaction button now
Why? 😢

@kramo That's it, I'm leaving GitHub
