Not being sarcastic here but I just love how the UI of Windows Explorer doesn’t force itself onto the user’s content.

You can tell what the controls are vs the user’s stuff. Very clear and distinct.

The UI isn’t muddied or blurred with anything else. Noice.

Edit: Don’t read too much into my post. I’m specifically only talking Windows Explorer.

@marioguzman Try opening Settings on Windows 11, it is clear and well organized!. Every time I try to change settings on my Mac I can’t find anything, it is truly a monstrosity.
@marioguzman I'm operating system agnostic, my job requires me to use a mix of platforms, with exception for #Linux which I have in a VM on my home PC. But #Windows11 as an everyday workhorse operating system is battle tested and gets the job done. Is it just as nice to use as #macOS, maybe not, but if your days are spent mostly in apps, whats running it rarely matters. I might pick up one of these in the near future. Setup a silver one for a user recently and I must say, it is pretty.

@adacosta I would like the new 12” Surface Pro in Ocean just to have around. It’s nice. Sadly what I use most is Xcode, Tower (avail. on Win), Pixelmator, and Music. So not really able to make Windows my main machine. But damn do I like it more than macOS these days in terms of UI.

Even Edge has become my default browser for work and home use. Safari just lags on many things and the minimalist UI just hinders usability.

@marioguzman I seem to only use Safari to read Apple news and rumor sites 😄 It also seems to consume a lot of RAM. Always getting using too much memory errors. Chrome gets the lion’s share of my browser usage, but I use Edge for work related sites and Firefox occasionally for some on my personal device. If you see a good deal on one of the Surfaces, I would grab it. I can’t justify it right now, I have too many computers with little space.
