I still have the Opal app installed and get notifications. I find the Adelaide Metro app mystifying in comparison.

Oh, I don’t know if it can be called a solution.

When I first visited earlier this year and installed it I’m pretty sure the instructions were:

  • buy a ticket from the list of options in the app before you board

  • Manually activate the ticket in the app once you’ve boarded

    • * Not sure the tickets you buy in app work for all modes of transport …

    In hindsight that seems easier and less confusing then I remember. But still sounds like a nightmare for newcomers.
