that cheap used Surface Pro 7 arrived. love it already. very impressive hybrid tablet, especially for the price.

it isn't the one from the picture on the listing, oddly. that one had a big scratch up the back. I guess it was just representative of the damage types for that category?

anyway, the defect that caused the seller to list this particular one as grade C (good) is a ~2mm pressure damage bright spot in the corner of the screen that literally isn't visible in normal use. otherwise mint.

I tried quite hard to see the damage spot with various desktop application content and while watching a full screen video, but I can't see it at all.

it only seems to be visible when certain colours are shown under the spot, within a certain backlight brightness range, so I'm definitely not complaining.

the only thing I don't super like is the aftermarket keyboard being bluetooth and rechargeable rather than using the proper port on the bottom of the tablet, but I can always buy an official keyboard later if I find that it annoys me too much.
I wasn't expecting the screen to be this good either. I could easily see this becoming my new standard way to reference datasheets while working on electronics at my bench.
@gsuberland I can recommend the official type cover, only thing is the edges really like to dissolve, but button / touchpad wise its really nice! If you search for used ones, beware theres been a small change in the top row layout/ hotkeys section, I think after the Pro 4 or 5.
