The British-made De Havilland DH106 1A Comet became the first scheduled passenger jet plane in 1952, but vanished from the skies after deadly crashes. Now aviation enthusiasts have brought one back to life.

@DazzlingDamo I used to volunteer at that museum. The Comet fuselage they have is lovely and I'm glad they have restored it and it's under cover now. There's a film, The Sound Barrier, loosely based on de Havilland, which features the Comet.
@GardenBirdy what a great thing to have done. Volunteers are the generally unrecognised heroes of many museums, but that is one I have fond memories of. I really should make an effort to visit it again.
