I'll say it: if Material 3 Expressive, Android's upcoming new design language, actually ships anything like the neon clusterfuck that was previewed, I think that will be a far more egregious and controversial UI redesign than Liquid Glass 😅
@stroughtonsmith been running the beta on a secondary device. It doesn’t quite feel as in your face as the promos make it out to be.
I feel like there’s a lot of things in it that seem like a good idea on paper that checks accessibility boxes, such as buttons changing shape of they are off or on... having color and shape as visual indicators of state seems like a great idea, but it ends up looking disjointed IMO
