I’m even more confused by the Antiquary than I was before. Looks like the embodiment of the “random bullshit go!” meme.

I feel like this was the idea they started with but didn’t know where to go from there.

The blog post elaborates on the spec icon at least, the big theme is gambling. Your Skritt pals will steal two random artifacts for you to pick from, and your new utility skill class can be recast while on cooldown, but with a risk of penalties to you.
I do think it’s funny that Thief is getting this, while Mesmer is getting bard troubador, given Mesmer has “chaos sorcery”… which is not wild magic, but space, time, mind and sense magic.
I read that but it feels like they had two separate spec ideas they couldn’t quite flesh out so they just smooshed them together. I try to reserve my judgment but I don’t expect to like it.
I saw a couple of people liking it though, which is good at least.
