Discoveries: Summoned Monsters

This was quite fun! I'll have to check this one out, I actually find the sometimes amateurish art and card design quite charming, especially in the age of AI slop - and it's cool to see there is an online community to play with! Also, gotta love the FOSS culture references in the cards.

Half related, but - this actually made me check out MtG Forge again - I don't know if you played it before? You may have mentioned it in between, I was only paying half attention at times while playing it rather spontaneously, watching this on my other screen. While it basically "just" copies MtG, I bet if nothing else, the code base would be interesting to look into if you are serious about making your own clone, which could be without non-FOSS assets: https://card-forge.github.io/forge/ - I never tried out their multiplayer capabilities, so I'm not sure if those have rule-enforcement.

Sad that the streaming still has problems. If you do end up moving instances - this time I could actually offer my instance up as a new home. I recently moved to a new hardware config on a server I sniped on Hetzner's server auctions, and I have enough space now for a lot of growth, even with people uploading basically unlimited amounts of videos. That came with a downgrade in CPU speeds, but at least yesterday, someone streamed Rimworld on there, and they said they had no issues whatsoever. (Besides me having to add them to trusted users capable of uploads)

Although, I have to add that I will never be able to make any definite guarantees about my instance staying up indefinitely - that is my goal, but health concerns and money could lead to unforeseen situations in the long term.
@[email protected] Well the community is available for arcmage, not summoned monsters.

But wow!!! Forge is amazing! I will stream it next. Yes replacing the cards with libre ones would be enough to do what I wanted to do.
For your instance we should try if it's any better but the problem could persist. Recording the livestream and reuploading it later however seems like a good strategy to avoid complete failure
@[email protected] Yeah, Forge is really great, tickles my MtG nostalgia in good ways - excited for the coming stream! If you do want to migrate, just hop up over whenever, I'll be away from home a few days, so I might end up being slow to answer stuff then, but I will check if you appear and add you to the trusted users if you do.
