There are a hundreds of better bands and thousands of better songs that are going to be missing from this countdown, and I think Gerling missing (more than likely being forgotten) is my personal beef.

But I guess they were only important for a hot minute.... (side note: Burke Reid went on to produce ton of perfect Australian Albums. The Drones - Havilah / Julia Jacklin - Crushing)

BUT the fact a bunch of other clownshoes artists are going to be on there just is annoying.... *cough* Jet, Wolfmother, Sticky Fingers *cough* Fuck off with that shit.

I voted for two Gerling songs, just in case it helped them get on the list.

I once read the perfect description of Gerling as being "like that really smart kid at school who everyone thought would go far but who never quite got their shit together."

A turning point in my youth was when I tried to get some friends together to go to a Gerling gig and nobody was interested. But then I realised I could just ... go see them by myself.

And I had a great night and got two phone numbers from two different ladies (beating my previous record of zero).
