Finishing a 2 week trip (first 9 days were on a Mediterranean cruise). Coming home tomorrow.

I've never been on a cruise.

Let's just say it's a way to see a whole bunch of places for a very short time. Beyond that...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also. Traveling in a big group...not my thing.

These are things I learn.

I was only on a cruise once, and I was a kid. My opinion then was I'd rather spend more time on location than on a ship. My opinion hasn't changed.

There's some appeal in just taking a week or two off and doing nothing, but my money isn't unlimited, and I'd rather spend it on seeing something new, rather than a floating resort. I feel the same about tropical resorts that completely isolate you from the culture. They could be on an oil platform and provide the same experience.
