The image shows a Twitter post by Ketan Joshi ([@]ketanjoshi.co) with the text: "Stuff like this is commonplace in the self-described 'doomer' (hate that word) communities. I see it all the time, but I am confident that it flies over the head of most of the whiter parts of the climate movement, who don't seem concerned about fascism and white nationalism." Below the tweet, there is a link to an article titled "Why I Am Proud to be an Eco" on medium.com. The article is by Eliot Jacobson ([@]EliotJacobson) and dated 20 April. The visible text from the article reads: "I said it countless times before, and I will scream it from the roof... Period." The tweet has 89 retweets, 37 replies, 167 likes, and 146K views.

The first tweet, by a user named BeWell, is timestamped at 16 T and reads: "Dr Guenther reposted a scathing, insulting takedown of Dr David Suzuki's latest article among other Doomers by a guy last name Katani. @Rob4472 i have beef with everyone over that by now. maybe i am the one who is in the wrong and that is how humans are in the year 2025, idk.
everything is so performative. the doom scrolling, the infighting, the constant gossipping about each other, the careless spreading of misinformation and emotionalized narratives without a second thought about the consequences. not to mention the people who are still on X for the " #engagement ".
@Rob4472 but the good news is 99.9% of people on the #fediverse are digital natives and get all of that and even though we are all crazy on here - and few and far apart - we have a halfway healthy relationship with the technology of the internet.
i am just trying to forget everyone else, because they are just architects of their own mental demise when they keep on using social media like a literal drug.
@Rob4472 let me give you an example of what i am saying.
ketan joshi, always been the nice guy, u know, who listens to everyone. now. david suzuki, always been a whiny bitch, justifiably whines about climate change.
but instead of ketan PERSONALLY telling him ON THE SOCIAL MEDIA like: dude u r depressing af, maybe lighten up - he writes an attack piece calling him a "boomer-doomer" - which is objectively funny, but does it help the issue?
anyway, now they fighting.
@Rob4472 or like the deep green folks.
still fighting about jem being an antivaxxer instead of maybe eventually try to talk to him OR just. kicking. him. tf. out.
i tell you some people want this. they like the fight. it's free dopamine.
