@MichaelWhelan Interesting questions! Taking care of my mother while having to put everything art and career on hold, the question and answer about cancer certainly hits harder. (She had a stroke, not cancer, but there's definitely a dulling of creativity versus "normal mode." I don't think the latter returned the same way anymore, not for me at least.)
