BrailleNote Touch Plus is really growing on me. Also, KeyMath is pretty cool stuff. I would use that

Last night I was happily reading away on the BrailleNote drinking a margarita and I suddenly had to actually hit the next heading button in EasyReader+. I think I’m just going to . . . Not do that.

On the bright side, I can read my digitized math notes on the computer! The generated alt text is the Braille dots. Good job, Humanware. I would absolutely use that feature.

Does anyone know off the top of their head how to navigate by heading in Keyword? Thanks in advance for any help! I’ll look it up in the user guide when I have a free moment tonight but I thought I’d ask here

Right now I can’t get files to open in KeyWord from Google Drive. I could spend time restarting and all that jazz but I won’t. Perhaps it’ll repair itself by tomorrow or by the time I return from my walk. That was fun while it lasted

I’m completing self-paced course content from the BrailleNote, quizzes and everything! I am not brave enough to delve into outdated Android land but I will enjoy the web while I can. It’s nice to not have to turn on my computer

It’d be nice if this thing had dedicated media buttons. That said I’m making the choice to not turn on my computer soooo 🤷🏽‍♀️

Greetings from the BrailleNote! You know what also would be nice?: Picture in picture because I would like to do something other than just listen and chat when I attend my online meetings. At least I have an iPad because I still refuse to turn on my computer

I just grabbed Teams and Zoom — and my school meetings display as expected. This setup doesn't irritate me as much as I thought considering this thing is years out of date. This might just work...

Either I’m missing something or I can’t figure out how to undo. I just deleted more math than I intended and I’m vaguely disappointed

Not even noon and I’ve already restarted twice today. I still maintain that KeyMath is my favorite feature. My math mentor sure does appreciate the format of my work

@wenwizzle I sometimes think that about myself also. But actually, I don't know that any tech skills are ever wasted because they so often lead to other adventures, or help you deal with other platforms. Tech skills remind me of building blocks.

@wenwizzle I did a 3 hour Teams on a $100 android tablet with my Orbit 20+.

@dhamlinmusic I kind of want one of those, but since I have a fully functional Orbit Reader 20 that I affectionately call my “bar display” I probably won’t bother with the upgrade since it wouldn’t meet my needs

@wenwizzle Yeah, I have not even turned on my 20+ in months, I mainly use my Bi40x, and sometimes my NLS E-reader.

@wenwizzle computer skills are never wasted, no skill is. Use what works for you and what makes you happy until it doesn't anymore and then use your skills to find the next thing. It's worked for me for more than 30 years.

Oh, and never listen to people who say you can't do whatever you're doing with what you're doing it with, ☺️.
