@kura It's based on Arch and ships with some optimizations for newer processors + a large repo containing precompiled AUR stuff
@kura also has some extra work in it to make Nvidia support much better

@kura Yeah, you can, I did that like a year ago before using Debian for a while. The custom kernels are also in the AUR; CachyOS is just a convenient bundle

@privateger thinking about purging and reinstalling os for a while now.
@kura yeah I could honestly just not be bothered to fix my debian sid breakage, so i just went back to the Arch I knew
@privateger yeah. I have arch breakage with me. My choice was arch, gentoo, alpine, mint or garuda Linux.
