Am I missing something? She voted against the defense appropriations bill. clerk.house.gov/Votes/2025212
Roll Call 212 Roll Call 212, Bill Number: H. R. 4016, 119th Congress, 1st Session

VOTE QUESTION: On Passage, DESCRIPTION: Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2026, VOTE TYPE: Yea-And-Nay, STATUS: Passed

Office of the Clerk, U.S. House of Representatives

She voted against the amendement to exclude $500million in Israeli weapons from the bill. Which is what she is defending in the Tweet the human rights lawyer is responding to.

She voted against the final bill, which includes funding for Israel. So she did not vote to send more weapons to Israel. You are posting false information.
She did. The evidence is right in front of your face. DNC lies are getting more blatant by the minute.

Read the text of the bill yourself if you don’t believe me.

This is about the amendement to that bill by MTG.

What is your point? She voted against the final bill.
She knew the bill would ultimately pass regardless of her final vote, and yet knowingly voted against an amendment to remove the arming of Israel. Her final no vote is a fig leaf covering her vote to send weapons to Israel.
And what is your evidence of this?
The votes speak for themselves. Everyone knows that the yearly defense budget bill gets passed every year without exception.
Yeah sure buddy. Or, maybe her vote against the bill is consistent with her record of speaking and voting against further arming Israel, and not some 4D chess mental gymnastics bullshit.
Then why did she vote to keep the arming of Israel on the bill? Where’s the consistency in that?

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s amendment does nothing to cut off offensive aid to Israel nor end the flow of US munitions being used in Gaza. Of course I voted against it.

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s amendment does nothing to cut off offensive aid to Israel nor end the flow of US munitions being used in Gaza. Of course I voted against it. What it does do is cut off defensive Iron Dome capacities while allowing the actual bombs killing Palestinians to

What does the “defensive” Iron Dome do? It helps Palestinian genocide and illegal, unprovoked attacks on Iran to continue unimpeded. Israel does not have the right to defend itself while committing these acts.
As an Occupier, Israel Has No Right to “Self-Defense”

By invoking self-defense, Israel changes the conversation from its colonial crimes against the Palestinians to the injuries it has itself incurred as a result.

What do you think Israel would do if iron dome was taken away? How do you think that would turn out? It would be like cornering an angry dog. And how does one single vote on an amendment that lost by somewhere around 400 votes make the difference? And, if someone it did make the difference and she had voted yes and added the amendment, why would the Republicans who control the House, Senate, and Executive vote to pass legislation that would compromise Israel? Do you think about any of this with your mind or do you just react on impulse and emotion like an animal?

What do you think Israel would do if iron dome was taken away?

I don’t have a crystal ball, but they might reconsider what they’re currently doing if they were less invincible.

It would be like cornering an angry dog.

Israel has had the “dog” cornered for generations. Before that the “dog” was living its life, unperturbed by settler-colonial invaders.

And how does one single vote on an amendment that lost by somewhere around 400 votes make the difference?

This is a dodge. You still haven’t answered the question. Why did she vote against an amendment for not arming Israel?

Do you think about any of this with your mind or do you just react on impulse and emotion like an animal?

Yes, I am a hysterical genocide condemner and you are a rational genocide apologizer.

This will be my last response because this is tiresome. I couldn’t find the text for Greene’s amendment so I’ll go with what AOC said. She said she voted against the amendment because it would not have stopped the transfer of munitions and offensive aid to Israel, and because it would cut off iron dome. Her stated reason for not wanting to cut off iron dome is that she believes it would intensify the war and increase civilian casualties. Since I can’t find the text, you’re certainly going to say she’s lying about what the amendment would do. Fine. She’s lying and the amendment would actually cut off all aid to Israel. So then it boils down to iron dome. I’m not changing your mind about this. But from the perspective of a lawmaker, someone dealing literally with life and death, I don’t find her stance to be ethically inconsistent. Taking away iron dome would objectively increase civilian casualties both within Israel and within their enemy countries as Israel would fight even harder and more viciously to attempt to destroy the capacity for future strikes against themselves. You’ve already pulled your “you support genocide” card against me so nothing I say will mean anything to you except “lying evil fascist zionazi” or whatever the fuck. So I’m done with you. Goodbye!
