And yes, they are all AI, much of it good, but tying them to the chatbot stuff is what I'm objecting to.

@davey_cakes I mean, yeah, afaik the vast, vast majority of Google feature changes are to get someone a promotion.

In a more real world, nobody at Google get promoted to fix stuff or keep stuff running without problem (they believe the latter just happen not because of a proactive team of system engineers)
TheCivvie@davey_cakes I am slowly degoogling myself. I am trying to move all my emails stuff to my titan account that @blacknight hosts for me. I switched from Chrome to Brave, would prefer Firefox but had issues with my bitwarden setup

I would suggest replacing Brave with Vivaldi, as Brave is notoriously controversial for many reasons (read https://www.kevinmuldoon.com/do-not-use-brave-browser/ for example). But I applaud you on all effort of moving away from Google, don't want to sound critical!

@janpet @davey_cakes @blacknight I never realised that about Brave but I just didn’t like it anyway. It seemed too cluttered for me. I will downlosd Vivaldi and try it on the Mac. Happy with Titan for email as I also pay for my children to have their own. I ran nextcloud for ages, cannot remember why I stopped. Think time to get it back up and running
@janpet @davey_cakes @blacknight I do like Vivaldi, especially the side bar. Brave has gone. Not into that sort of thing. It did bug me that the rewards kept popping up
