Do you suppose I'm right in thinking it will be near-impossible to find a reasonably priced hotel for a night in Victoria BC on a July weekend with 1 day's notice?
Turns out no, the less sure thing turns out to be the ferry since we can't book for tomorrow I guess.
Send things for me and my parents to do this Saturday in Victoria. especially near the inner harbour.

Ferry lesson: When you're waiting in line and the announcement says get back in your car, do so even if you were told you wouldn't make this sailing.

Signed - We were one of the last 5 cars on the boat, and our line had to go around 3 vehicles sitting empty.

@rockario Shit I coulda told you THAT =P
@rockario Too many times going up the coast for Christmas with the girlf's family have made me functionally a native Vancouverite when it comes to never trusting BCFerries =P
@coriander Any judgement on the practicality of "We're just gonna go to Tsawassen in the late morning and see if we can get on a boat."
@rockario Check the website before you leave the house
@coriander At what point do you not leave then? Do you wait until the next sailing isn't full and then jam on down to get in line?
@rockario I haven't sailed from Tsawassen specifically but based on all my previous trips, the safest bet is to get there early and be prepared to Wait, you might have to be there for a sailing or two before you can get on
@coriander That what we are ready to expect I guess, so good to have corroboration.
@rockario Checking the website before you go can at least help give you an idea of how long oyu'll have to wait but in general yeah get there as early as you can
